Hello,
I like this video:

Story telling is an exciting journey. Readers traverse the inky landscape of surprise and intrigue not dissimilar to riding rapids. The riders embrace the swiftly flowing waterways. Savouring the journey, they pause before undertaking another trip, only momentarily satisfying an insatiable hunger – likewise a reader cannot be placated until the closing chapter. Even then the hunger for another story is unyielding. A writer’s words dance, playfully coaxing the reader to continue.
Hello, dear Allie-Millie! It's good to hear from you again. I enjoyed both of these videos that share the theme of empowerment. I never heard of the Madden Brothers but as I watched their video for the song "We Are Done," I was immediately reminded of the Christina Aguilera song and video "Beautiful" which dealt with body image and alternative lifestyles. Take a look:

At one time or another all of us have been bullied, made to feel invisible, objectified or exploited in some way. "We Are Done" reminds us that we don't have to crouch in the shadows and take it, that we are never alone and that there is strength in numbers if we all band together and take a stand against abuse, neglect and discrimination.
The second video reminds us that we can start to feel better and more powerful the instant we commit to some sort of physical activity - walking, running, climbing, swimming, working out or playing a sport. There is a direct connection between physical fitness and good mental health.
Thank you very much, dear friend Allie-Millie, for these entertaining songs and thought provoking images. I hope your year is going splendidly and I hope to chat with you again soon.
Hi Shady,
ReplyDeleteThanx for that. I like that song as I haven't seen the video - yep I like pop culture so that's where some of my posts come from :) the year is good, stay tuned and I'll take a peek at sdm&m real soon. Cheers Allie-Millie
