Are you done?

Hello,

I like these two videos - the first one I like the people who are done with  being a silent many, every voice rings out and carries, no we won’t just go back home without you hearing, the sound when the many say, we are done

done done done done done done
we are done
done done done done done done
We are...

The second one was produced in the UK because they reckon a lot of females are self conscious about their bodies which is a great pity because exercise is a wonderful and healthy outlet and can be a great saviour to help in overcoming life's challenges, or simply if you want to blow off a bit of steam.

It's fantastic to swim 1 km or to hike and to feel empowered if you run out of petrol and can jog to a petrol station - I have never done this but runners have told me how being able to do this makes them feel pretty good. Here you go...

  1. Hello, dear Allie-Millie! It's good to hear from you again. I enjoyed both of these videos that share the theme of empowerment. I never heard of the Madden Brothers but as I watched their video for the song "We Are Done," I was immediately reminded of the Christina Aguilera song and video "Beautiful" which dealt with body image and alternative lifestyles. Take a look:

At one time or another all of us have been bullied, made to feel invisible, objectified or exploited in some way. "We Are Done" reminds us that we don't have to crouch in the shadows and take it, that we are never alone and that there is strength in numbers if we all band together and take a stand against abuse, neglect and discrimination.

The second video reminds us that we can start to feel better and more powerful the instant we commit to some sort of physical activity - walking, running, climbing, swimming, working out or playing a sport. There is a direct connection between physical fitness and good mental health.

Thank you very much, dear friend Allie-Millie, for these entertaining songs and thought provoking images. I hope your year is going splendidly and I hope to chat with you again soon.
